The battles we choose.

The key to happiness lies in how we choose to deal with our sadness. There are two sets of problems that can come up to you. One is which actually matters and the other is which doesn't. A normal human always tends to put all of the problems in the first set. Which, if you actually look at it is utter stupidity. Not denying that i didn't do it. We always end up wasting so much of our thoughts and confidence is problems that vaguely exists and doesn't matter a bit that when a real problem arises which actually needs our attention, we always end up surrendering even before it began. Differentiating these problems is not something that only a wise man can do. The key to get a clearer picture is to keep your personal happiness as the primary priority. Carrying the weight of the world on our shoulders is something that we choose to do and no one else can be blamed for it.
You can weep and whine at all the problems that comes in to your hand or you can simply classify it and keep moving on.
Recently after getting admitted to the Asian College of Journalism i moved to Chennai. And like any other normal person, I started feeling homesick. Now the problem was not that, the actual problem came up when i didn't know how to deal with it. Whining about it on social media and crying to the people who care about me didn't help. I actually opened my eyes when one of my friends actually got fed up of me weeping over such a petty issue. Now, I know how much I have bothered my friends with my problems. But this was really a lesson for me. It really hit me when she said the words " You just have to accept it". And your mind suddenly goes into all the times when the blue ticks and the 'no response' actually upset you. You realise all of it was not worth at all...
We waste so much of our happiness in things that doesn't even deserve our attention. And at the end of the day we just carry all the weight just to let ourselves and the people around us down. Even your plate gets full after some time. So choose what should be there in it. And choose wisely.
